The Scottish Revert Teacher

The Scottish Revert Teacher:

My name is Aisha Murray and I’m a revert from Glasgow, Scotland. I have been Muslim for 15 years and a niqabi for 8. I currently live in London and have 4 beautiful children one of which has higher needs.

I’m currently a part-time MA student in Leading Education and working as a full-time teacher in one of London’s leading colleges. I am an ESOL Course leader for teens which is great fun but hard work. I have the honour of teaching students from different places across the globe. I love to hear their stories, aid their struggles and test their abilities. The students make the job.

I have been living in the capital of England for the past 12 years but I miss my country everyday. Most holidays, the kids and I are in the car making our way up there to visit the family, see new places and to find peace in the glens

I have been a content creator and influencer on YouTube for the past year. I share a range of videos from day in the life vlogs, to travel videos but mainly revert topics. Also, I have been doing some work with BBC Scotland’s The Social contributor who has made many videos aimed to eradicate misconceptions.
