It’s a common idea in some communities that when one reverts to Islam, it is required to change your name.

WHY?

Everything in life has energy and vibration, even words and names! They suggest that; when you choose this path and become a Muslim (finding peace through submission to God) If you do not have a name with a strong and noble meaning, one that matches the qualities of this new chosen way of life, then it is advised (no obligatory as nothing in Islam is compulsory) to embrace a new name to identify with as the new role you embody.

This has been one of the most common questions I’ve gotten since my big announcement. “So what is your new Muslim name?”

Well, see, my name is perfect as it is.
Am I changing it….. No

The Rose🌹

Is said to be “God’s love at work in Peoples’ lives”.

It has one of the deepest spiritual meanings in all ancient spiritual religions and practices. Traditions say that the garden of Eden featured roses without thorns, and only after “humanity sinned” they appeared.

The rose represents purity and is a symbol of the virgin mother Mary, the “mystic rose”, and mother of Jesus Christ PBUH.

The rose is said to hold the key to the deepest mysteries of life. In ancient geometry, it is the blueprint of all of humanity, “the flower of life”. Showing we all come from the same source and epi-centre of Love. It is representative of the human heart and soul and the capacity to hold the essence of our Creator.

This name was chosen for me all along. Blessed to me by my late Father. And my last name Gabrielle, I think everyone knows the meaning 😇
Even though I decided to only follow this path at 34, God knew my purpose all along and I have never breathed a breath without knowing Him.

So this is the name that represents my humble path and beautiful journey in life. I hope to always be that shining light, doing my best to fulfil my purpose and be a source of light and Love for each and everyone of you.

Be blessed, my friends❤️

…. for those who asked… my name is still Rosie 🙃
